We spoke to long time student and instructor extraordinaire Dee DeLapp about Inspired Fitness.
IF: How long have you been working out at Inspired Fitness?
DD: I’ve been with Rebecca since the start of Inspired Fitness. Don’t know how many years as it’s all a blur.
IF: On average, how many days a week do you work out at Inspired Fitness?
DD: Three days a week and I teach there three days a week also.
IF: What motivates you to attend classes at Inspired Fitness?
DD: I know that every class I attend will keep me fit, strong, and healthy. There’s no “going through the motions” at Inspired Fitness- it’s work.
IF: What do you like most about Inspired Fitness? e.g., kickboxing; strength conditioning; core workout; the student's camaraderie; intensity; convenience.
DD: Do I have to pick just one? That’s too hard. I like the intensity and variety of the workouts and the students are the nicest people you will ever meet.
IF: What is your favorite Inspired Fitness move? e.g., sit & stands, pyramid weights, etc.
DD: That’s an easy one- I’m a burpee and a squat queen.
IF: How does Inspired Fitness challenge you?
DD: There’s always something to work harder on and to improve. Whether it’s strength, balance, speed, or endurance, I can always find some aspect of the workout to concentrate on.
IF: Have you set any fitness goals while attending Inspired Fitness? If so, what were they?
DD: My number one goal is to stay healthy and injury free.
IF: Have you had any physical limitation to overcome? If so, what were they and how did Inspired Fitness help?
DD: I have a hip injury which will require surgery soon and have had to reduce the amount of workouts I do. The workouts have kept me strong and flexible and reduce my stress level. My MD can’t believe that I’m able to workout with the injury I have.
IF: What is the most inspiring thing about Inspired Fitness?
DD: Rebecca’s dedication to her students and to their success is amazing. She is so kind and generous and her commitment to improving our health is what makes her so successful!

We asked the 'queen of bling' Karen Alkayem a few questions on working out at Inspired Fitness!
IF: How long have you been working out at Inspired Fitness?
KA: I've been working out intensely in challenging aerobic/step/weight classes for over 30 years. Of those 30, the last nine years have been working out with Rebecca and ONLY Rebecca!
IF: On average, how many days a week do you work out at Inspired Fitness?
KA: 3 to 4 times a week, if I'm lucky!
IF: What motivates you to attend classes at Inspired Fitness?
KA: I feel better about life when I work out. It helps me deal with stress. I like to feel fit and strong! I LOVE the friendships I've developed with my co-worker-outers! A good way to keep anti-aging in check!
IF: What do you like most about Inspired Fitness? e.g., kickboxing; strength conditioning; core workout; the student's camaraderie; intensity; convenience.
KA: I like the student camaraderie, Rebecca's intensity, inspiration and convenience.
IF: How does Inspired Fitness challenge you?
KA: EVERY workout is always a challenge and accomplishment mentally and physically!
IF: Have you had any physical limitation to overcome? If so, what were they and how did Inspired Fitness help?
KA: I work around a very frustrating lower back injury sustained 6 years ago while over-training at a different gym. I have learned to modify my workout so as not to cause more injury. I have good days and bad days but Rebecca can see when I am hurting and always offers modifications so I can continue to train and stay fit.

Meet Trudee Coughlin...married, mother of two daughters and works full time. Trudee has been a student of Inspired Fitness for eight years and consistently attends classes three times a week.
We asked Trudee the secrets to her fitness success:
IF: What motivates you to attend classes at Inspired Fitness?
TC: The work out, Rebecca and the student camaraderie!
IF: How does Inspired Fitness challenge you?
TC: I am challenged in each class whether it be strength, core or cardio because Rebecca always takes it one step farther than I think I can or want to do!
IF: Have you set any fitness goals while attending Inspired Fitness?
TC: My fitness goal is making it to class a minimum of 3 days/week. Rebecca's class is a great way to kick start my day before I jump into work! Thanks Rebecca!

Long time student Lisa O'Hearn , married with two teenage boys, works full time, and has been working out at Inspired Fitness since the doors opened 9.5 years ago attending four classes a week!
IF: What motivates you to attend classes at Inspired Fitness?
LO: REBECCA's smile, of course. Amazing instructor full of compassion, kindness, discipline and drive. She just has wonderful energy in her classes and knows how to push you to your limit while having fun. Tons and tons of variety and trying new things.
IF: What do you like most about Inspired Fitness? e.g., kickboxing; strength conditioning; core workout; camaraderie; intensity; convenience.
LO: I love all of the above and that's what makes it work. Everyday is a different focus. The people are absolutely some of my best friends that I have grown to love and cherish throughout the years. But, if I had to pick…I guess it would be the love-hate relationship I have with Thursday/early class (formerly known as Throw-up Thursdays!) It is straight cardio for one hour and it completely pushes me to the extreme and kicks my butt! I feel soooooo great afterwards and go home with a huge sense of accomplishment.
IF: How does Inspired Fitness challenge you?
LO: Rebecca comes up with crazy exercises that make you want to say "anybody want to go for coffee instead today?" It also is her REPS and SETS. I would never do the quantity of exercises on my own. She'll say "let's do one more…it's only a minute…you can do anything for a minute" and YOU DO IT!
Love Rebecca! Probably the highest compliment Rebecca could get is when my husband said "Rebecca, thank you for Lisa's butt!"
